Greyhound Corn & Callus Cream
FORMULATION UPDATE
After more than 4,000 jars produced, we continue to refine and improve Greyhound Corn & Callus Cream while preserving the targeted approach that greyhound families have relied on for years.
Greyhound Corn & Callus Cream is now prepared in our LabNaturals® Complete Care Ointment base, providing Acetyl Glutathione, CoQ10, vitamin E, shea butter, and olive oil for additional antioxidant, moisturizing, and skin-barrier support.
The targeted corn-and-callus ingredients remain the focus of the formula, including 10% salicylic acid, hydrocortisone, zinc, aloe vera, and vitamin A.
This updated base replaces our former compounded glutathione-palmitate/Aladerm® base, which was used in the previous formulation.
Client Testimonial
“Our greyhound’s name is Jackie. She was a race track rescue. We discovered she had corns shortly after adopting her and tried various repair solutions, with no results. After applying the hyaluronic acid & corn/callus cream, the corn detaches and gives our girl relief. The combo treatment is the only home treatment we have found to work. Thank you.”

Veterinarian-Recommended Care for Stubborn Corns & Calluses
Greyhound Corn & Callus Cream is a veterinarian-recommended proprietary topical formulation developed to help address stubborn corns and calluses through targeted keratolytic action, softening of thickened paw-pad tissue, and supportive care for the surrounding skin.
The formula is designed to help soften thickened tissue and support the gradual loosening and removal of corns and calluses while providing soothing, moisturizing, antioxidant, and skin-barrier support.
Preliminary Study Results
In our preliminary study, approximately 75–80% of treated corns improved or resolved using the LabNaturals® 2-Step Care Protocol of Hyaluronic Acid Lotion followed by Greyhound Corn & Callus Cream.
The preliminary study was conducted using our previous formulation. The current formulation uses the updated LabNaturals® Complete Care Ointment base.
Why This Formula Works
10% Salicylic Acid
Provides targeted keratolytic action to help soften and break down thickened corn and callus tissue.
Hydrocortisone, Zinc, Aloe Vera & Vitamin A
Provide soothing and skin-supportive benefits to the sensitive paw-pad area.
Acetyl Glutathione
Provides antioxidant support as part of the LabNaturals® Complete Care Ointment base.
CoQ10 & Vitamin E
Provide additional antioxidant and skin-supportive benefits.
Shea Butter & Olive Oil
Help moisturize, condition, and soften the paw pad while supporting the skin barrier.
Hyaluronic Acid Pre-Treatment
Deeply hydrates and softens the paw pad before application of the Corn & Callus Cream.
Key Benefits & Advantages
LabNaturals® 2-Step Care Protocol
Best results are generally seen when both steps are used consistently twice daily during the active treatment phase.
STEP 1 — Pre-Treatment Hydration
Apply a small amount of Greyhound Hyaluronic Acid Lotion to the affected area of the paw pad.
Cover with an appropriate protective covering and leave in place for approximately 20 minutes. Always supervise your dog and make certain the covering does not restrict circulation.
Do not wash off.
Hyaluronic acid can hold many times its weight in water and provides intensive hydration to help soften thickened paw-pad tissue.
The softer the pad, the better the Corn & Callus Cream can work on the thickened tissue.
STEP 2 — Greyhound Corn & Callus Cream
Apply a small amount — approximately a small pea-sized dab — directly to the corn or callused area.
Try to focus application on the corn or thickened tissue being treated.
Massage the cream in thoroughly until absorbed.
Cover the paw with an appropriate protective covering for approximately 20 minutes, while supervising your dog and making certain circulation is not restricted.
After treatment, remove the covering and gently wipe the area if needed.
With continued use, the corn or thickened tissue may gradually loosen or separate from the surrounding pad.
The cream may also be applied to a previously hulled area to help keep remaining thickened tissue softened and provide ongoing maintenance support.
Sometimes a corn may loosen enough to separate on its own. Do not cut, dig into, or forcibly remove a corn. Please talk with your veterinarian if a corn appears ready to be removed before attempting removal yourself.
How Long Does Treatment Take?
Response varies according to the size, depth, severity, and duration of the corn.
Improvement has been observed relatively quickly in some mild cases, while long-standing or recurrent corns may require extended and repeated treatment.
Consistent use of both steps of the protocol is important.
Maintenance / Post-Treatment Care
Once the corn has improved or resolved, continue applying a small amount of Greyhound Corn & Callus Cream a few times per week as needed for maintenance.
Maintenance frequency can be adjusted according to the condition of the paw pad, your greyhound’s response, and walking pattern.
Regularly observe the paw pads and gait for renewed thickening, tenderness, or changes in comfort.
Use in Humans
This formulation has also been used by clients for human corns and calluses and areas of thickened skin on the feet or hands.
Its keratolytic and skin-softening properties may be helpful for thickened tissue. Temporary covering of the treated area may enhance softening and absorption.
Persistent, painful, inflamed, unusual, or recurrent lesions should be evaluated by an appropriate healthcare professional.
